The DS1273 suits any standard entrance door furniture and is designed to pair directly with Doric’s DS1400, DS1500, and DS1600 hinged door furniture ranges. Specify it wherever an entrance door needs more resistance to forced entry than a standard single-point mortice lock offers — without moving away from a standard mortice lock installation or requiring non-standard door preparation.

How the Multi-Point Locking System Works
The DS1273 engages the door at three points, not two:
- Latchbolt — 10mm throw, reversible brass bolt, chrome plated. Handles day-to-day operation via the door handle spindle.
- Deadbolt — 13mm throw, steel, chrome plated, with a hardened steel middle plate that resists drilling and sawing attempts. Thrown and retracted by key.
- Twin locking rods — two 8mm stainless steel rods, extending from the lock body to engage the door at the top and bottom.
More engagement points spread the load across the full height of the door, so there’s no single weak point for a tool to concentrate force against — the practical reason a multi-point lock resists forced entry more effectively than a latch-and-deadbolt-only lock body.
