Where keyed security is required, the DS575 is designed to kit directly with the DN1290 Aluminium mortice lock body, available in 30mm backset (DN1290/30) or 40mm backset (DN1290/40), forming a complete patio door handle and lock combination for aluminium sliding doors.

The DN1290 lock body features twin counteracting beaks that engage an all-metal catch plate — providing active resistance to jimmying and physically restraining the door against being lifted externally from its rails. For ground-floor entries, accessible entry points, and any sliding glass door application where security performance is a specification requirement, this is a substantively stronger outcome than a standard latch configuration.
