Holding Open Sashes in Exposed Conditions

Casement and awning windows in exposed or high-wind sites put real load on whatever hardware is holding the sash open. Left unrestrained, a sash in these conditions can flex, chatter against its stay, or be forced further open than intended. The SS0001’s adjustable friction stay is built specifically to control that movement, holding the sash at whatever position the installer sets rather than leaving it to wind load.

Material & Finish

The SS0001 is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel, polished to give the stay smooth, secure operation and a surface that’s easy to keep clean. 304 is a strong general-purpose corrosion-resistant grade, suited to standard residential and commercial applications.

The SS0001 is designed to be used alongside:

Installation

Non-handed by design — a single SS0001 suits either side of a window opening, so installers don’t need to stock or specify handed left/right versions.
