1969
ALG starts their own business.
1980
DN201 Flush Bolt launched! Copied by many and still popular today.
1982
DH3 & DH8 Launched! The industry standard hinge which is still the standard today.
1984
The first ever spring balance system for aluminium windows had landed.
1989
The first ever spring loaded and adjustable roller was launched into the security market.
1990
The first ever auto adjusting foot system for spring balances was launched.
1992
The launch of the DS401, first ever sliding lockable window lock.
1993
The launch of the DS60 first ever sliding door lock chassis with interchangeable handle styles.
2002
The release of the polesium based chainwinder with it’s 100% corrosion resistant base.
2007
The DH40 Hinge wins the AWA most innovative component award.
2009
The MK4 chainwinder wins the AWA most innovative component award.
2016
The DN8000 wins the AWA most innovative component award.
2017
The DN8000 wins the Good Design Awards product design category.
Our People
Doric began operations above an old racehorse stable in 1972 as a tiny brass window fabricator under the guidance of the founding directors Ray Long and Roy Alchin.
We have now expanded to a multinational private business servicing the Asia Pacific and North American regions, supplying the hardware industry with quality, innovative and market leading window and door hardware.
Doric Racing
Doric has a long and proud association with Australian motorsport stretching back to 2004. A passion of the owners, our motorsport sponsorship is a key driver in brand awareness and relationships with our customers.
Celebrating 18 years in 2022, Doric is proud to support Will Davison, Dick Johnson Racing and Anton DePasquale in the Supercars Championship, Bryan Staring & Desmosport Ducati in the Australian Superbike Championship and Hunter McElrea in the USA Indy Lights Championship
